The Quality Inspector III role focuses on ensuring that electrical assemblies, wiring harnesses, and related electronic components meet strict engineering and quality standards. You will perform hands-on electrical testing, detailed visual inspections, and thorough documentation of results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong electrical testing and troubleshooting skills with meticulous quality inspection capabilities, particularly involving wiring harnesses and electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on assemblies and subassemblies using equipment such as Hi-Pot testers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), milliohm meters, and power supplies.
• Conduct functional testing of electrical assemblies to verify performance and identify potential failures or nonconformances.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures and issues in wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electronic systems, and document findings clearly.
• Carry out detailed visual inspections of electrical assemblies and wiring harnesses, verifying connector installation, orientation, and overall workmanship.
• Inspect wire routing, harness construction, labels, markings, tie knots, and cable lacing to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
• Review assemblies against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and quality requirements to confirm proper build and configuration.
• Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) requirements during inspection to validate dimensional and geometric accuracy.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test documentation to perform accurate inspections and tests.
• Record test results, inspection findings, and quality data in a clear, organized, and traceable manner.
• Follow ESD handling procedures and electrical safety practices at all times while working with electronic assemblies and test equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to clarify requirements and support continuous improvement of quality processes.
• Work consistently within the guidelines of a highly regulated manufacturing environment, such as aerospace or defense, adhering to all applicable standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, electronics troubleshooting, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience performing Hi-Pot (High Potential/High Voltage) testing in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Proficiency using electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), milliohm meters, power supplies, and other electronic test instruments.
• Demonstrated ability to perform functional testing of electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical failures in wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, or electronic systems.
• Strong visual inspection skills for electrical assemblies and wiring harnesses, including verification of connectors, wire routing, labels, markings, tie knots, and cable lacing.
• Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, quality standards, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and its application in inspection.
• Understanding of ESD handling requirements and adherence to electrical safety practices.
• Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy in recording test and inspection results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Comfort working with detailed engineering documentation and formal quality requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection and testing.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing and test environment focused on electrical assemblies and wiring harnesses. You will work primarily on-site with electronic test equipment such as Hi-Pot testers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, milliohm meters, and power supplies. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will operate within a highly regulated setting, such as aerospace or defense, where adherence to engineering documentation, quality standards, ESD handling procedures, and electrical safety practices is critical. The work involves hands-on testing and inspection at benches or workstations, following established processes and guidelines for both quality and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
