Airport Fueling and Parking Technician

This is routine work in fueling and parking aircraft and other related airport duties as directed. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Airport Director. Essential Functions include fueling aircraft utilizing safe practices and procedures, refueling fuel truck at Fuel Farm, inspecting Fuel Farm, directing and parking aircraft on ramp, scheduling fuel deliveries, receiving bulk fuel deliveries, monitoring Trauma fuel tank, inspecting airport and fuel farm equipment, operating the Tug when necessary, assisting the Airport Manager as required, reporting any unsafe situations or acts to the Fixed Base Operations Manager, reporting any unsafe conditions on the ramp and runway area, performing sales transactions, handling duties in the office and direct pilots when called upon, training for and performing Maintenance Technician functions as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include using computers for data entry, using small/light equipment, using or repairing medium equipment and machinery, responding to supervision, guidance and direction of superiors, operating and caring for equipment to manufacturer's specifications, demonstrating an understanding, consideration, and respect of cultural, religious, and gender differences when interacting with the public and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications include high school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED), one (1) year fuel line experience, and possession of a Class "B" Commercial Florida Driver's License or the ability to obtain.

Essential Physical Skills include acceptable eyesight, ability to communicate both orally and in writing, acceptable hearing, heavy lifting and carrying, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, driving, operating equipment, stooping. Environmental Conditions include working outside in various weather conditions, working with dust, fumes, gases, electricity, chemicals, oils, uneven surfaces, poor lighting, and vibrations.
