Which means you’ll have unlimited opportunities to work with new technologies across different industries, and grow your career in any direction you chooseSummaryThe Senior Lead Engineer, Test Development designs, develops and implements automatic test equipment and test programs for product testing and design verification which ensure robust and high quality assembled products in manufacturing. A Test Development Engineer may specialize in many areas but are generally categorized into Structural (verification of an assembly process by testing each of its smaller elements and their interconnects) and Functional (verification that a design will perform its main purpose). Detailed DescriptionPerforms tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:Lead the development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling. Provides technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areasReview, interpret and may negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provides customer feedbackLead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.Proactively promote industry best practicesMay manage relationships with key vendors/partners.Create structural or functional test strategy and test plan to meet project goals and requirementsCreate technical proposals with costed BOM, hours, and schedule estimatesLead requirements generation with minimal to no guidance, leveraging design specifications and technical product design dataProvide technical program management for mid to large projectsEstablish best known methods and processes for test development execution (Structural or Functional) for local and regional teamsAnalyze industry trends and setting short term investment and skill development strategies and business cases with local or regional impactDevelop production test strategies based on product design specificationDesign and develop test solutions including hardware & software elements and then system integration, qualification, and installation to meet product, quality and test requirements outlined in the test plan.Debug of tester issues using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologiesExecute all validation/qualification requirements by applying statistical and common industry methodsStabilization of Test Solutions for manufacturing working to optimize with process teams focusing on cycle time and yield.Test developers may also work with product design teams with feedback from product testability, test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics and user experience.Keeping up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulationsKnowledge/Skills/CompetenciesEnabling Competencies: Project Management - Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions.
