Make a meaningful impact in a supportive elementary school setting by working 1:1 with a first-grade student who has cerebral palsy. This opportunity is for a dedicated paraprofessional with experience in school environments, passionate about providing essential care and academic support. This is a full-time contract role running through June 2027, offering the chance to foster growth and learning for a young student who would benefit from your expertise and compassion.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous paraprofessional experience in schools is required
• Nursing or medical background is a valuable plus
• Ability to support students with physical and academic needs
• Professionalism, patience, and adaptability in a classroom setting
• Must be able to feed, change, reposition, and generally assist a young student (under 50 pounds)
• Reliable attendance throughout the school year
• Open only to local candidates—no travel applicants accepted

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 assistance to a student with cerebral palsy during the school day
• Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, toileting, and repositioning
• Support participation in classroom lessons and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure a consistent and supportive environment
• Maintain a safe and respectful space for the student at all times

This contract position runs Monday through Friday from 8:10am to 3:35pm, ending June 4, 2027. Compensation is $50 per hour.
