Sales representatives are out on the road every day, meeting with valued customers, visiting job sites, and building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continued success. Our sales team consists of team players who are self‑starters with strong problem‑solving skills, mechanical aptitude and a drive to succeed and communicate effectively with a diverse customer base. In This Outside Sales Role, You Will Learn all about Victaulic’s products and their applications to help customers complete projects on time and within budget. Understand mechanical pipe joining methods and competing technologies such as welding and flanging. Track construction cycles, identify major projects, and stay current with market trends and competitor activity. Develop a business plan with a Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping, sales goals, promotion plans and strategies to maximize sales potential. Execute all phases of project pursuit and management: from inception through design, specifications, bidding, job‑site training, commissioning and after‑sale follow‑up. Lead inside sales, engineering, and support staff to meet customer requirements. Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, building/project owners, and coordinate with distributors and other Victaulic representatives. Educate customers on the value and performance of Victaulic products through demos, training, and presentations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous sales experience selling value‑added products/services, preferably in the commercial construction, PVF (pipes, valves, fittings) or mechanical product industry. Demonstrated sales achievements and history of building long‑standing relationships. Strong problem‑solving, resourcefulness, creative thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, with experience in project management. Self‑motivated, professional appearance, affable personality, and confidence in customer interactions. Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and traveling in adverse weather conditions.
