Our accounting team plays a critical role in supporting dealership operations by ensuring financial records, vendor payments, inventory accounting, and reporting activities are completed accurately and on time. About the role Parkline Motors is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to support core dealership accounting functions. This role is responsible for accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, inventory accounting support, and routine financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do Process accounts payable and vendor payments accurately and efficiently Prepare and post journal entries and accounting adjustments Reconcile invoices, reimbursements, vendor statements, cash receipts, and journal vouchers Assist with inventory pricing, inventory accounting, and inventory audits Prepare deposits and routine accounting reports Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation Review accounting schedules and reports with management on a regular basis Utilize spreadsheets and accounting systems to support daily accounting functions Provide backup support across accounting and administrative functions as needed Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience required Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based reporting Experience working with accounting software and financial systems Preferred Qualifications Automotive or dealership accounting experience preferred Experience with Bill.com preferred Experience with Dealertrack preferred Education High school diploma or GED required Some college coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education Compensation 401(k) Health insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position On-site role at Parkline Motors in South Salt Lake, UT Office-based environment with regular computer and accounting system usage Compensation $22.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Work Location In person - Parkline Motors 3638 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 #J-18808-Ljbffr
