The incumbents will serve as a Primary Care Physician located within the Viera VA Clinic or Palm Bay VA Clinic assigned to the Ambulatory Care Service. Assignments to other facilities within the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) and travel to the site may be required to meet the needs of the service. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Responsibilities Full‑time Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained Physicians are sought to join the Primary Care Clinic Team as a Primary Care Provider. Provide comprehensive medical care under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model to a panel of patients managed under PCMM guidelines. Attend to patient education and preventive care while working well in an interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality primary care. Manage chronic conditions and evaluate and treat inter‑current medical conditions. Determine medical assessment and develop treatment plans according to accepted protocols. Collaborate with a PACT to provide accessible, comprehensive, coordinated, and continuous care to an assigned panel of patients. Provide comprehensive care for female veterans as a Women’s Health PCP, including age‑appropriate cervical and breast cancer screening, menopause and contraceptive management, and initial evaluation of basic gynecological concerns. Perform disease‑prevention activities such as sex‑ and age‑specific screenings, mental‑health screenings, and health‑promotion activities. Screens for, evaluates, and treats uncomplicated common mental health disorders, including depression and common addictions, with referrals to mental‑health providers as appropriate.Prescribe Buprenorphine for the management of Opioid Use Disorder per DEA guidance. Supervise or collaborate with primary‑care mid‑level providers and provide clinical oversight. Participate in peer review of other primary‑care providers through periodic chart reviews. Act as a surrogate for absent primary‑care providers when needed, including review of CPRS view alerts. Regularly attend primary‑care staff meetings, departmental meetings, and medical‑staff meetings. Document encounters and notes in a timely manner in accordance with facility policy. Complete administrative work promptly and address clinical reminders as medically appropriate. Deliver care that meets professional standards of quality. Utilize all Virtual Care modalities expected of this position. Follow up promptly on results and complete view alerts. Prescribe medication in accordance with the approved formulary and federal and state law. Consult other specialties as appropriate per service agreements. Show flexibility in responding to clinic demands and maintain ethical standards, fostering a harmonious work environment. Cover unassigned or unscheduled patients or clinics when a provider is on leave or when a vacancy exists. Manage specialty PACTs such as Women’s Health, SCI, OEF/OIF, Homeless, or Geriatric PACTs. Travel within the health‑care system to cover provider shortages or other operational needs. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (with possible shift changes or operational assignments). Possibility of relocation or recruitment incentives as authorized by EDRP (not available to former participants). Travel may be required for this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
