Special Education Aide (Part-Time)

Jefferson Township Public Schools has multiple positions available for a Special Education Aide (Part-Time) up to 29 hrs./week. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 60 college credits or passing the ParaPro Assessment (preferred). The job goal is to assist the classroom teacher by working with individual and small groups of disabled students to provide them with physical help and emotional support as needed to gain optimum benefit from the district's special education program. Salary ranges from $26.21/hr. – $27.30/hr. following the established JTEA Salary Guide. General benefits include paid time off in accordance with the JTEA contract; health insurance is not included. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (P.L. 2011, Chapter 70), all newly hired public employees, including public school district employees, must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in New Jersey.
