Key Responsibilities

• Engage in a dynamic mix of 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient care.
• Evaluate adult patients and collaborate with infectious disease pharmacists and microbiologists to identify pathogens.
• Formulate comprehensive, evidence-based treatment strategies.
• In the hospital, work with attending physicians on acute patient management and coordinate discharge plans, especially for those needing long-term IV antibiotics.
• In the outpatient clinic, monitor patients post-discharge, manage ongoing IV antibiotic treatments, and address a variety of infectious diseases, including active tuberculosis.
• Utilize strong communication skills and maintain thorough documentation in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completion of an infectious disease fellowship.
• Ability to work collaboratively with another physician and mid-level providers.
