Android Developer - Conversational Search

As an Android Developer on the Conversational Search team, you will help us build Redfin’s next-generation AI-powered home search experience. This team creates intuitive, delightful, and deeply integrated conversational experiences that help users discover, evaluate, and act with greater confidence. This is one of Redfin’s most ambitious and visible product initiatives for 2026. About the Role Design and implement complex Android features that power conversational and AI-assisted experiences within the Redfin app. Build intuitive, high-performance UI that integrates intelligent capabilities into core search and listing flows. Drive architectural decisions for conversational interfaces. Collaborate with your teammates by reviewing code, writing documentation, refining best practices, and building maintainable and testable codebases. Work closely with our product and design teams to understand user and business needs. Drive the team forward in Android best practices and design principles, bringing in cutting-edge industry trends. About You You continually obsess over improving the user experience, whether it's collaborating with product managers and designers to build beautiful products or finding and squashing performance bottlenecks. You have 3+ years of development experience with at least 3 years of practical experience building Android applications in Kotlin and Java. You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across experience levels and disciplines, and you disagree constructively with respect for others’ perspectives. You stay current with modern Android development practices and continuously raise the bar for code quality, architecture, and maintainability. On-Call Expectations This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly. The compensation information below is provided in compliance with all applicable job posting disclosure requirements. The compensation for this position is $107,400.00-$145,200.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employment-related benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K retirement plan, and paid-time off.
