Regular team meetings and case discussions are conducted via video conferencing to maintain our collective commitment to excellence in mental health care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for clients, taking into consideration personal histories, current circumstances, and potential risks to develop a suitable treatment plan. Create individualized treatment strategies based on assessment findings, employing evidence-based practices to address mental health issues while ensuring clients feel seen and supported. Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to provide effective support to individuals dealing with loss or emotional distress. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at bolstering emotional resilience and coping mechanisms for clients in hospice care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to provide integrated service delivery that ensures comprehensive mental health support. Offer immediate crisis intervention capabilities to address urgent mental health needs, ensuring a quick and supportive response to potentially critical situations. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on patients receiving hospice care, who often face profound emotional challenges as they approach end-of-life transitions. This role will involve working with individuals and families dealing with grief, anxiety, and existential concerns, highlighting the importance of empathetic communication and a tailored therapeutic approach. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university. Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of California. A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in mental health or hospice environments, demonstrating a strong capacity to engage with sensitive patient populations. Proficient understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the complexities related to end-of-life care. Strong analytical skills to perform thorough mental health assessments and develop effective treatment plans. Experience delivering therapy in both individual and group settings, employing various therapeutic approaches tailored to distinct patient needs. Effective crisis intervention skills, with the ability to think critically and remain composed when faced with challenging scenarios. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients and collaborate with a diverse team. Preferred Experience Experience working within hospice or palliative care settings, particularly with patients and families managing grief and loss. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness at digital documentation of therapy practices. Proactive in pursuing ongoing education and training in mental health trends and effective therapeutic modalities. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
