Mixing Tech - Lowcountry Oncology Associates Charleston, SC Lowcountry Oncology Associates Job Summary Specialty: Pharmacology Clinic Location: Charleston, SC Employment: Full-Time | Mon-Fri Board Certifications: Active SC State-Certified Pharmacy Technician Registration Ideal Candidate: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience required Mixing Tech experience required About the Role Lowcountry Oncology Associates is seeking a dedicated Mixing Technician to join its pharmacy team and support the delivery of high‑quality, compassionate cancer care. In this role, you will play a key part in medication preparation and inventory management, ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently to support patient treatment. This position requires travel across four clinic locations in Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Summerville, offering variety and collaboration across the practice. Qualifications Computer skills required: electronic medical record systems, pharmacy systems, Microsoft Office Knowledge and understanding of Community Pharmacy daily operations as they pertain to filling, processing, and/or dispensing of oral medications Knowledge and understanding of the practice of community‑based pharmacy Ability to work effectively with all departments, vendors, and consultants Responsibilities Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications Maintaining records by documenting and filing the prescriptions and order of Physicians Sorting, stocking, and labeling medications and monitoring inventory Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions, and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacy Manager Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete Generating revenue by recording, calculating, and issuing charges Administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by Pharmacy Manager Delivering medications at the counter and processing payments Assisting patients with insurance questions Assisting with researching and applying for drug assistance programs for patients needing financial assistance Measuring, mixing, and labeling medication dosages Dispensing prescriptions and over‑the‑counter medications to patients under the supervision of Pharmacy Manager Collecting insurance and other information necessary to distribute prescriptions Repackaging prescriptions Additional responsibilities may be assigned to help drive our mission of delivering high-quality and compassionate cancer care in our community, for our community, and by oncologists who live in our community Recruitment Package Retirement Plan – Secure your future, 401k safe harbor and profit sharing Work‑Life Balance – Paid time off Community Care – Make a real difference by caring for patients in their local communities #J-18808-Ljbffr
