Welder - Utility Trailer manufacturing

WelderThe welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.Duties/Responsibilities:Welds raw materials to construct and/or repair the framework of our trailers using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.Handles power tools such as grinders, chop saws, oxygen and acetylene torches, and other general hand toolsPrepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.Notifies Supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.Consistently meets high quality and control standards.Works safely at all times.Learn and become proficient in other production roles in order to support our entire team as needed.Required Skills/Abilities:Able to work safely and follow all safety rulesAbility to accurately read a tape measureThorough understanding of machines and tools used in weldingExcellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of formsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds at times.Ability to stand, walk, and move around the manufacturing area for extended periods.Must be able to bend at the waist, kneel, and squat, walk, climb up and down ladders/scaffolding, stoop, push, pull and/or carry materials.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.Must be able to work in indoor or outdoor environments.May be exposed to welding, grinding, paint fumes, and machinery noise.Work Hours: Monday - Thursday | 7:00am - 5:30pmPay Rate: $20/ hourBenefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceBasic Life InsuranceSupplement Life InsuranceFlex Spending Account and Dependent Care AccountPet insuranceVacation and/or Sick time accrualsRain Instant pay (Can receive up to 50% of the pay you have earned before each pay period)401(k) with Employer MatchInterstate Group, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
