School Bus Driver

Job Description We are seeking a responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver to join our team in Aventura, Miami. This role involves safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working with children. Bilingual candidates and those with a background in childcare or senior care are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses and other commercial vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies Transport students to designated locations on scheduled routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures Maintain a safe environment for students during transit, demonstrating excellent behavior management skills Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and colleagues to coordinate schedules and address concerns Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure mechanical safety and cleanliness Assist students with boarding and disembarking, providing support for children with special needs or disabilities (paratransit) Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and student attendance as required Uphold professionalism in appearance and conduct at all times during duty hours Experience Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving, preferably with school bus driving or paratransit services S (school bus) and P (passenger) endorsements . Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable Prior experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills and behavior management techniques Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety procedures, and child safety protocols is essential Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating school buses; clean driving record required This position is integral to ensuring the safety and well-being of students while fostering positive community relationships.
