Brents Heating & Cooling is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician who can independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heating and cooling systems.

If you have 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience , can confidently diagnose furnaces and central AC systems, and take pride in doing the job right, this could be a great fit.

This is not an entry-level or maintenance-only position.

This position is based in Carlton, MN , serving Duluth, Cloquet, Carlton, and surrounding communities.

What Youll Do

• Independently run residential HVAC service calls

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair furnaces and central AC systems

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant issues

• Service heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment

• Perform maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections

• Accurately identify equipment failures and complete repairs

• Explain findings and repair options clearly to customers

• Recommend equipment replacement when appropriate

• Complete service documentation and maintain your company vehicle

What Were Looking For

• 2+ years of residential HVAC service, troubleshooting, and repair experience

• Ability to independently diagnose and repair furnaces and central AC systems

• Experience independently running service calls

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of refrigerant systems

• EPA Section 608 Certification

• Valid drivers license

• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to report to Carlton, MN

• Experience with heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, refrigeration, or light commercial HVAC is a plus.
