Neonatologist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a per diem Neonatologist to join their expanding team in Austin, Texas. This role involves providing exceptional care for neonates across multiple St. David's Healthcare System facilities. Practice Info * Expanding team of neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners * St. David's Medical Center: 65-bed, Level-IV unit with neonatal surgical services and approximately 4,300 newborn deliveries per year * St. David's Women's Center of Texas: 57-bed, Level-III unit (expanding to 80 beds) with approximately 8,000 newborn deliveries per year * St. David's North Austin Medical Center: Level-III NICU with advanced imaging procedures and pediatric medical sub-specialties * St. David's Round Rock Medical Center: 12-bed, Level-II unit with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn services * St. David's South Austin Medical Center: 10-bed, Level-II NICU with in-house NNP coverage of NICU and normal newborn services Responsibilities * Provide exceptional care for neonates in the St. David's Healthcare System * Work collaboratively with neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners Compensation * Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice * Malpractice insurance covered for this W-2 per diem position Benefits * Employee Assistance Requirements * Board Certification in Neonatology required * Active TX license or IMLC license preferred * A minimum of 1-year post-fellowship clinical experience required * Recent Neonatologist experience required (within the past 12 months)
