About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President / Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Regulatory (HSE&R) to lead the development and implementation of safety and environmental strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance in HSE&R matters, managing the HSE&R department, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This hands-on role requires a leader with current EHS experience specific to the offshore oil and gas industry and a publicly traded company, including expertise in policies, procedures, system implementations, ESG reporting, and regulatory compliance. The VP, HSE&R will also be involved in managing the company's HSE compliance programs, tracking HSE metrics, and leading incident investigations and emergency response training. Applicants for the VP, HSE&R position at the company should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years of senior HSE management experience in the offshore energy sector. The role demands exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with government agencies. A strong background in managing SEMS programs, knowledge of relevant regulations, and proficiency in MS Office are essential. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong time management skills, and be able to adapt their work schedule to meet the demands of the role. Safety or environmental certification, such as CSP, is a plus.
