Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7p-7:15a) Experience: 2+ years License: Active Michigan License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Tele Cardiac Experience, Recent Travel Work History Description: This position performs a variety of integrated functions. The nursing process is utilized while applying a broad nursing knowledge in a caring, concerned manner. Responsibilities include assessing patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support. Organizing and coordinating all aspects of patient care according to the patients' real and/or perceived needs is essential. Evaluating patient progress involves correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care. Consulting and collaborating with members of the health care team is critical in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals. The primary patient population consists of all Tele patients. The nurse to patient ratio is 4:1, but may need to stretch to 5:1 occasionally.
