Job Description

We are looking for a Senior GL Accountant who can assist in all aspects of general ledger accounting. This is a great opportunity to leverage full-cycle accounting knowledge, work with individuals in various functions throughout the business, and develop business acumen. This individual is a detail-oriented and highly organized team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end closing assignments, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts.

• Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting of all transactions.

• Assist in the preparation of semi-annual and year-end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed.

• Assist in the development of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process.

• Identify, develop, and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas of responsibility, as needed.

• Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

• Assist the manager in preparing tax filing documents.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Follow Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of related industry or public accounting experience at a senior accountant level.
• Public accounting firm experience is a plus, e-commerce working experience is a plus.
• Understanding of full-cycle accounting and general ledger.
• Capable of working in a fast-changing internet environment and adept at quickly learning new business-related software.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel formulas.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Physical Demands:

This position primarily involves working at a desk and operating a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking and standing.

Job Location and Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm

Benefits

• The salary range is $75,000 - $95,000.
• Flexible Paid Time Off.
• 12 PTO days per year, accrued bi-weekly, with annual increase.
