Registered Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care across acute, emergency, and critical settings, using oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and ABG analysis. The role requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and ventilator support
• Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status, and respond to changes in condition
• Manage mechanical ventilators and assist with airway management
• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results
• Provide emergency respiratory care in ER and ICU settings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Preferred Skills:

• PALS certification preferred
• Acute care experience
• Emergency room (ER) and intensive care unit (ICU) support
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management
• Proficiency in arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
• Familiarity with critical access hospital environments
