Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for an Emergency Department RN!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic Emergency Department (ED) team providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Shift: 12 hours, Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) ; Every Other Weekend required.
- Facility Highlights:
- 56-70 beds in a bustling ER/Trauma Center.
- Separate Triage Area with 5 beds , allowing for a streamlined patient flow.
- Dedicated 18 beds for inpatient holding.
- 6 private treatment rooms for mental health and seclusion needs.
- Patient Care Focus:
- Care for approximately 170-200 patients per day .
- Common diagnoses include Cardiac, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, AMS, Respiratory issues , and Abdominal pain .
- Staff Support:
- Work alongside experienced Doctors and Mid-Levels .
- Charge Nurses and House Supervisors are available for guidance.
- Support staff includes ED Techs, CNAs , and patient sitters for 1:1 care.
- Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in larger trauma settings.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC .
- Ability to manage low to high acuity patients with a 1:3 ratio (1:4 for low acuity).
- Operations and Equipment:
- Advanced RT Equipment , including Vents, CPAP, BiPAP .
- Experienced Radiology and Transport teams for patient imaging.
- Nurse and ED Techs primarily handle blood draws.
- Orientation and Training:
- Comprehensive training over 2 days : compliance (8-10 hours) followed by department orientation (12 hours).
- Scheduling:
- Shifts based on department needs with mandatory holiday coverage during November and December.
- Dress Code: Professional colors expected.
