CPA Director of Technical Accounting

Seeking a hands-on and strategic CPA Director of Technical Accounting in a full-time remote role, who will manage all aspects of technical accounting and SEC reporting, ensuring IPO readiness while drafting memos, preparing filings, and building foundational processes. Key responsibilities Own and lead the technical accounting function, researching and operationalizing accounting positions for complex transactions Prepare and review SEC filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations Partner cross-functionally to drive IPO readiness and execute financial reporting milestones Required qualifications CPA required, with strong Big 4 public accounting experience preferred 8+ years of accounting experience, including SEC reporting at a public company IPO experience preferred, either taking a company public or supporting clients through the process Expert knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
