With Talon Protection Group, our officers are the first point of contact for clients and properties we protect. We expect our officers to conduct themselves professionally with every person they contact and represent the highest company standards of honesty, integrity, and commitment.

To be successful as an Armed Security Officer, you must be able to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills while under pressure and constantly be evaluating the lawful application of your use of force tools (i.e. OC Spray). Ultimately, an outstanding Armed Security Officer will seek to expand their legal knowledge and self-defense training beyond the state-mandated minimum level. Possessing the ability to speak foreign language(s) is a bonus.

Primary Job Duties:

• Protect our clients/properties
• Inspect client sites & properties
• Answer calls dispatched via phone and/or radio
• Routinely contact/interact with members of the public
• Contact Law Enforcement/First Responders when necessary
• Write Incident reports

Armed Security Officer Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Current and valid Armed DPSST Security Professional Certification
• Current and valid Driver’s License
• Able to read, write, and speak English as required by DPSST
• Clear criminal record as required by DPSST
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently, particularly when under duress
• Neat, professional appearance
• Capacity to work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Stand, walk, run, bend, and lift 50 lbs + while wearing a vest, duty belt, baton, OC spray, etc.

Talon Protection Group is not your run of the mill security company. While observe and report is always a staple of the industry, we do much more than that. We are a proactive team that actively strives to better the communities in which we work.

We require all candidates to possess their own equipment prior to joining our team, though we will provide assessments and refreshers as needed to ensure that each officer is certified to use the tools they carry on a daily basis.

Armed Security Officers’ pay starts at $25/hr with a current armed DPSST certification.
