Job Overview

The Server Assistant/Food Runner is responsible for working with the expo to assure prompt delivery of the food that is ready in the "hot" and "cold" windows in the kitchen. The Server Assistant/Food Runner is responsible for delivery to the tables in the Food and Beverage Outlet. The Server Assistant/Food Runner and expo work both together and independently to assure that every plate looks correct and to deliver hot/cold food in a timely manner to the guests in all outlets. The Server Assistant/Food Runner together with the service staff is responsible for bringing any additional items the guests need to complete their meal.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Checking each plate of food to be correct as ordered by the guest.
• Ensuring all condiments are accompanying each order.
• Assurance that every item on the order is ready and on the tray together.
• Working diligently to avoid breakage and loss.
• Notifying server of guest needs.
• Completing all opening, ongoing, and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work.
• Assisting with bussing and resetting tables as needed.
• Providing exceptional guest service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
• Stocking/restocking appropriate linens for service.
• Stocking/restocking workstations with appropriate plates and saucers, etc.
• Informing server of any potential guest issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Flexibility with work days and hours.
• Previous experience passionately providing service to others.
• Excellent phone skills needed. People person.
• Ability to create experiences for others that go beyond the expected.
• Great communicator. Ability to communicate to any guest or associate.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in the basic English language.
• Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner in both verbal and written form.
