Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Apply clinical skills and the nursing process to ensure quality patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress accurately in health records.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Administer medications and perform procedures following hospital protocols.
• Support emergency stabilization and coordinate transfers when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Hold an Oregon RN license or be willing to obtain licensure.
• Have recent (within 2 years) acute care hospital experience, specifically in emergency departments.
• Possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC, or be willing to attain them.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• Be able to meet all submission requirements including skills checklists and certifications within one year.
