The team works in the office at SEL’s Boise, Idaho location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Build complex web front-end user experiences with React and Typescript. Build efficient back-end business logic on an embedded platform with C# and C++. Build secure APIs including REST and GraphQL. Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems. Build unit, subsystem, and complete multi-platform end-to-end automated tests. Prepare and maintain design, code, and test documentation. Mentor other engineers. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent Typically, 7+ years of experience: React and Typescript customer-facing web applications Security standards such as OWASP and API hardening C# or Java preferred Object-oriented principles and design patterns Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Preferred Qualifications Expert level in C# or Java Expert level with React and Typescript Expertise with full-stack automated testing including Selenium or Playwright Embedded system experience on a Linux-based platform Familiarity with containers Familiarity with Visual Studio Code Familiarity with PostgreSQL Familiarity with C++ Experience with greenfield development Competitive pay.
