Automotive TechnicianConcordia Wireless is a growing telecommunications services company supporting major wireless carriers across the United States. As a nationwide construction services firm, we specialize in the development of wireless communication sites and network upgrades, including 4G to 5G conversions. Through our equipment and fleet division, we maintain the vehicles and tools that keep our field operations running smoothly. We are seeking an Automotive Technician to support the maintenance and repair of company vehicles and light fleet equipment. This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed for individuals who are looking to build a career in automotive repair and maintenance while working alongside experienced technicians.Location: Carol Stream, IL (Onsite)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PMTravel: Occasional local travel (up to 150 miles) to support field crews with vehicle-related issuesPay Range: $22.00 – $29.00 per hour plus annual bonusBenefits:401(k) with up to 6% company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coveragePaid vacation and sick time10 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday per yearGrowth and training opportunitiesResponsibilities:Perform routine maintenance services on company vehicles and equipmentComplete oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and basic scheduled maintenanceInspect brakes, tires, steering, suspension, and basic electrical systemsAssist with tire repairs, replacements, and rotationsReplace basic vehicle parts such as batteries, lights, wipers, and filtersAssist senior technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issuesUse hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment safelyPerform basic inspections and document maintenance work performedSupport minor repairs on company trailers and equipment as neededTravel to nearby job sites to assist with vehicle support needs when requiredMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications:1–3 years of automotive repair, maintenance, or vocational training experience preferredBasic understanding of vehicle systems and routine maintenanceExperience or familiarity with oil changes, brakes, tires, and inspectionsWillingness to learn diagnostic and repair skills under supervisionAbility to use basic hand tools and shop equipmentStrong attention to detail and safety mindsetAbility to lift, move, and work in physical shop/field conditionsValid driver's license requiredASE certifications or technical training are a plus but not requiredCDL not requiredPreferred Traits:Eager to learn and grow in automotive repairReliable, safety-focused, and team-orientedComfortable working in both shop and occasional field environmentsInterest in building a long-term career in automotive or fleet maintenanceSurus Group is a division of Concordia Group.
