Field Operator

Schedule : 7x7 night rotation (6pm-6am, 84 hrs/week) Duration : 1-year W2 contract Position Overview The Night Field Operator is responsible for supporting nighttime lease operations and maintaining production across assigned assets. This role requires a strong understanding of production flow paths, the ability to troubleshoot and fix equipment alarms, and the capability to manage multiple issues simultaneously while working closely with the shift team to keep production online. The position requires the use of remote surveillance tools to diagnose operational issues, develop action plans before arriving on location, and execute solutions with minimal supervision. Candidates must be self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced operational environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, monitor, update, and oversee activities within assigned operating areas during the shift. Maintain detailed shift logs and records of operational events, with a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental performance. Support and promote teamwork and collaboration among shift personnel. Review and provide input on control specifications and operational work practices. Apply and follow work permit requirements through the Permit to Work System (PTWS) in accordance with established work management procedures. Continuously develop personal and team technical knowledge, including new equipment, operational methods, and regulatory requirements. Monitor production systems and respond to equipment alarms and operational issues. Troubleshoot field equipment and production systems to minimize downtime and maintain production targets. Utilize remote monitoring and surveillance tools to identify, diagnose, and respond to operational issues. Coordinate with shift personnel to prioritize and resolve field challenges efficiently. Required Qualifications High School Diploma required. Associate degree enhanced by technical school training is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of oil and gas industry experience . Flowback and lease operating experience is required. Required Skills Understanding of production flow paths and general oil and gas facility operations. Ability to meet all safety, administrative, and technical training requirements associated with the role. Demonstrated competency in operational integrity and technical skill requirements as outlined by company training standards. Familiarity with field production equipment, troubleshooting practices, and operational procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to effectively use email and communication tools. Experience navigating and utilizing computerized monitoring and surveillance systems.
