Join Chicago Tube & Iron (CTI) as a Material Handler and become part of a team that plays a vital role in delivering quality steel products to customers across the country.Whether you have warehouse experience or are looking to grow your skills in manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Material Handler, you'll help ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped safely by:Operating saws and other equipment to cut, process, package, and prepare material for shipmentSafely operating forklifts, Raymond side loaders, and overhead cranes to move steel throughout the warehouseLoading and unloading trucks using material handling equipmentPulling, staging, and assembling customer ordersReceiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materialsMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWorking closely with your team to meet daily production and shipping goalsWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:Manufacturing, warehouse, or fabrication experienceMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnExperience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring toolsExperience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, saws, or packaging equipment (preferred but not required—we'll train the right candidate)Basic math and computer skillsAbility to read blueprints or shop drawings is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shiftAbility to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 poundsAbility to work safely around heavy equipment and steel productsWhy Join CTI?At CTI, we invest in our people.
