About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 2-dimensional, color Doppler, and Doppler echocardiograms, as well as stress and dobutamine echocardiograms
• Utilize non-imaging continuous Doppler techniques to diagnose and image abnormal pathologies including wall motion abnormalities, pericardial and pleural effusion, stenotic and regurgitant lesions, and congenital abnormalities
• Review patient charts to obtain pertinent clinical history and explain procedures to patients prior to cardiac ultrasound examinations
• Review and interpret test results and communicate preliminary reports to referring physicians or house officers
• Perform multiple portable studies daily, mobilizing equipment as needed throughout the facility
• Record and review test results for accuracy, prepare test reports using ancillary devices, and maintain testing rooms and equipment in clean and orderly condition

• Proficiency in all phases of echocardiography , including 2D, color Doppler, stress echo, and dobutamine echocardiography
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose wall motion abnormalities, LV regional wall abnormalities, pericardial/pleural effusion, valvular lesions, and congenital abnormalities
• Ability to review, interpret, and report cardiac examination results accurately
• Experience performing portable echocardiographic studies

• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical setting
• Familiarity with video recording equipment and advanced transducer technology
• Strong communication skills for interacting with referring physicians and clinical staff
