Job Overview A law firm seeks a Supreme Court and Appellate Associate in Chicago, IL. The firm is renowned for its appellate practice, handling high-profile cases across various courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. The ideal candidate will join a team dedicated to excellence and innovation in a collaborative and diverse environment. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft persuasive legal documents. Collaborate with team members on complex appellate cases. Engage in strategic planning for trial and appellate litigation. Participate in oral arguments and hearings as needed. Requirements Experience as a judicial clerk, preferably for a federal or state appellate court. Membership in the State Bar of the office location or ability to become admitted promptly. Strong academic credentials and a proactive approach to legal challenges. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications State Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Excellent legal research and writing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
