Reimbursement Specialist, Local Contract- Sarasota, FL - 37293614

Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm, 40 hours per week

11 week contract

We need two more individuals with strong billing and collections experience who also understand claims billing, CPT codes, and accounts receivable as well as accounts payable. These candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong critical thinking skills. M-F 40 hours

Duties:

Job Summary: The Home Health Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for monitoring claim status, researching rejections and denials, documenting related account activities and collections for assigned payers. Job Responsibilities: -Accurately perform mathematical computations and audit data to detect errors. -Continuously works with rejections, denials and returned claims, performing all necessary follow-up to ensure collection of payments from Insurance providers. -Properly document accounts clearly and status activity.

Skills:

Required Skills & Experience: -Minimum of one (1) year of current applicable experience. -Ability to work well within a team environment and manage assigned tasks independently. -Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. -Knowledge and familiarity with medical terminology. -Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database applications, and medical billing applications. -Ability to keyboard 30 wpm. Preferred Skills & Experience: -One (1) year of previous home health billing-related experience. -Experience in collections with Medicaid, Managed Care/Insurance, and Private Payers. -Wellsky (Kinnser) experience.

Education:
