Senior Landscape Architect

Our client is a specialist, design-led landscape architecture practice embarking on an exciting new phase of growth with the establishment of a New York City studio. With a close-knit team of around eight professionals and an impressive portfolio of work, the practice has built a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality landscape architecture across a diverse range of sectors. As part of their strategic expansion, they are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to lead the new NYC studio. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the practice while delivering exceptional design work and building a local presence. The Role As Studio Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and growing the New York office while leading projects from concept through to delivery. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop the studio, strengthen client relationships, and drive business growth in the region. You’ll oversee a varied portfolio of projects, including: Higher education and university campuses Ecological restoration and environmental landscapes Courtyards and public realm Golf clubs and recreational facilities Schools and educational environments High‑end residential projects Key Responsibilities Lead the establishment and day‑to‑day management of the New York studio. Direct projects through all stages of design and delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Provide design leadership and maintain the practice’s high design standards. Mentor and grow a team as the studio expands. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the practice. Collaborate closely with the wider leadership team to shape the strategic direction of the business. About You We’re looking for an experienced Landscape Architect who has: Strong design, technical, and project leadership skills. Experience managing client relationships and multidisciplinary teams.
