Intellectual Property (IP) & Brand Protection Investigator
Vaudra International
We envision a world where intellectual property protection & investigations are synonymous with excellence. A world where brands & rights owners can make informed decisions based on clear facts, reliable evidence, & trusted investigative work. Our mission is to safeguard brands & innovations to survive generations. About Vaudra International Since 2003, Vaudra International has helped law firms & brand owners protect intellectual property, product integrity, & consumer trust. Our investigations support trademark enforcement, brand protection, customs, litigation, & marketplace actions. No two matters are exactly alike. You will work with investigators, leadership, clients, attorneys, vendors, & law enforcement. Your work will help clients understand what is happening, preserve the evidence needed to support action, & determine what should happen next. How We Work We pursue facts with integrity, curiosity, & disciplined follow-through. We take ownership of our work, communicate clearly, & support one another without lowering expectations. We do not simply complete tasks. We seek to understand the objective, identify what matters, & deliver work clients can confidently use. This role is not built around television-style investigations. Much of the work requires patience. Research. Documentation. Clear writing. Repeated follow-up. Good judgment when the facts are incomplete. You must be willing to ask questions, pursue leads, adapt your approach, & remain accountable for moving several matters forward at once. Continue only if something inside you is saying: HELL YEAH. Role Summary The IP Investigator conducts fact-focused investigations that help clients protect their brands, innovations, & intellectual property rights. You will research individuals, businesses, products, websites, online accounts, transactions, & marketplace activity. Assignments may include research, evidential purchases, undercover contact, site visits, marketplace surveys, or other lawful investigative activity. You will evaluate information from multiple sources, identify meaningful connections, preserve physical & digital evidence, & document your findings in clear investigative reports. You will manage assigned matters from objective through reporting. This includes understanding client instructions, developing an appropriate investigative approach, monitoring time & budget, communicating material developments, & helping ensure each case reaches a timely & useful outcome. Six Things You Will Love to Do Follow the Facts - Understand who is involved, what is happening, how the pieces connect, & what can be independently verified. Turn Questions into Investigative Plans - Identify the objective, determine what information is needed, evaluate possible approaches, & adjust as new facts emerge. Conduct Detailed Research - Work across public records, databases, websites, social media, online marketplaces, corporate records, & other information sources. Build Evidence Carefully - Collect, document & preserve purchases, communications, source records, photographs, notes, & physical evidence correctly. Write Reports People Can Use - Organize complicated facts into accurate, objective, & well-supported reports that clearly explain what was found. Manage Varied Work with Accountability - Balance multiple cases, maintain priorities, communicate progress, monitor scope, & move matters toward reporting or closure. The Person Who Will Thrive Here You Are Inquisitive - You ask thoughtful questions, follow leads, & notice inconsistencies. You Are Analytical - You identify patterns, gaps, relationships, & possible explanations without confusing assumptions with facts. You Are Detail-Oriented - Names, dates, addresses, photographs, timestamps, source records, product identifiers, & report language matter to you. You Write Clearly - Your reports are factual, organized, professional, & easy to follow. You Exercise Sound Judgment - You consider legality, ethics, client objectives, evidentiary value, cost, & risk before acting. You Take Initiative - You identify what is needed, propose a practical next step, & ask for direction when appropriate. You Are Organized - You can manage several matters without losing track of deadlines, communications, expenses, evidence, documentation, or follow-up. You Are Adaptable - Sources disappear. Leads fail. Priorities shift. Technology changes. You adjust without losing focus on the objective. You Are Professional - You communicate respectfully & understand that your conduct reflects on Vaudra & the clients we serve. You Protect Confidentiality - You will handle sensitive client information, investigative strategy, personal data, evidence, & business intelligence. Discretion is essential. You Are Collaborative - You can work independently without operating in isolation. You Are Resilient - You remain patient, resourceful, & focused when information is incomplete or obstacles arise. Results You Will Be Expected to Achieve Produce reliable investigative findings that address the assigned objectives. Deliver accurate, articulate, & timely reports. Maintain evidential integrity across physical & digital evidence. Support client confidence through professionalism, responsiveness, & useful work. Contribute to team discussions, training, process improvement, & shared knowledge. Core Responsibilities Research individuals, businesses, online accounts, products, transactions, & marketplace activity. Collect, analyze, verify, & document information from multiple sources. Conduct lawful interviews, field inquiries, site visits, marketplace surveys, evidential purchases, surveillance, or undercover contact when appropriate. Process & preserve physical & digital evidence. Maintain complete, accurate, & organized case records. Manage assigned caseloads, deadlines, budgets, expenses, & reporting expectations. Work with clients, attorneys, subcontractors, vendors, law enforcement, & other stakeholders. Follow company procedures, applicable laws, licensing requirements, & professional standards. Complete required training & continuing education. Skills & Experience Strong candidates will demonstrate: Experience in investigations, loss prevention, asset protection, research, due diligence, intelligence gathering, compliance, legal support, journalism, fraud review, law enforcement, or another fact-intensive field. Strong analytical & critical-thinking skills. Clear professional writing ability. Careful attention to detail. Strong organization & time management. Candidates with sufficient qualifying investigative experience may be eligible for full private investigator licensure. Candidates who do not yet meet the experience threshold may be hired & licensed as a Private Investigator Associate under company supervision while gaining the experience required to pursue full licensure. Employment is contingent upon meeting applicable licensing, background, & regulatory requirements. About Our Culture We believe in integrity first. We value people, meaningful results, perseverance, innovation, & positive impact. Our standards are high because the work matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaudra International
