Operating out of our newly opened, state-of-the-art facility in Flemington, NJ, we feature high-intensity turf, a dedicated strength and conditioning area, batting cages, and cutting-edge training technology. Position Overview

The Director of Sports Performance (DSP) is the athletic heart of Redline Athletics Flemington. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all sports performance training programs, ensuring our athletes receive the highest quality coaching and achieve measurable results. Working closely with the Director of Business Development/General Manager, you will build a robust training schedule, lead a team of dedicated coaches, and foster a culture of athletic excellence, safety, and motivation. Your expertise will directly shape the physical development and confidence of hundreds of young athletes.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Design & Implementation: Develop and continuously refine cutting-edge sports performance training programs for various age groups and sports, focusing on speed, agility, strength, power, and injury prevention.
• Coaching & Instruction: Lead by example, directly coaching individual athletes, small groups, and teams. Provide expert instruction, motivation, and corrective feedback to ensure proper technique and maximize athletic gains.
• Coach Management & Development: Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and schedule a team of high-performing sports performance coaches. Conduct regular evaluations and provide ongoing professional development to maintain Redline's high coaching standards.
• Athlete Assessment & Progress Tracking: Implement robust assessment protocols to evaluate athlete progress, set individualized goals, and communicate performance metrics effectively to athletes and their parents.
• Facility & Equipment Management: Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all training equipment and areas, including turf, strength zones, and batting cages. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Director of Business Development/General Manager on scheduling, program promotion, and facility operations. Effectively communicate with athletes, parents, and local sports organizations.
• Brand Representation: Act as a leading expert and ambassador for Redline Athletics Flemington, upholding our brand values and commitment to athletic excellence in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Required Certifications: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or equivalent nationally recognized certification (e.g., USA Weightlifting, NASM, ACSM).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coaching, designing and implementing sports performance programs, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience working with youth and high school athletes across various sports.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of coaches.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for program planning and record-keeping.
• A profound passion for athletic development, injury prevention, and inspiring young athletes.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
