The Vice President, Partner Implementation leads the strategy, vision, and operational execution of the organization responsible for bringing Vertical Insure’s embedded insurance products to market through our partners. This is a senior leadership role created to elevate implementation from a well-run delivery function into a strategic growth engine, one that scales partner activation across our Core, Growth, and Launch verticals and directly advances the company’s revenue and expansion goals. Our Minneapolis office operates on a hybrid model, with in-office collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At this time, we’re only considering local candidates. Why This Role Matters The Vice President, Partner Implementation owns the full partner implementation lifecycle: the operating model, the program roadmap, the cross-functional coordination, and the frameworks that allow Vertical Insure to onboard and activate partners faster and more predictably as we scale. This role brings the big-picture program management perspective needed to connect our launches into a coherent portfolio, anticipate where the model will strain as volume grows, and drive the process improvements that raise the ceiling for the entire business. This is a program management leader first and a project execution leader second. You will think in terms of interdependent workstreams, capacity, throughput, and long-term outcomes across a portfolio of partners, not just the milestones of any single implementation. At the same time, you remain close enough to the work to coach your team, unblock complex launches, and step in with credibility when a high-stakes partner needs it. What You’ll Do Strategic Vision & Program Leadership Set the multi-year vision and operating strategy for partner implementation, translating company growth goals into a clear program roadmap and set of measurable outcomes. Manage partner activation as a portfolio and a program, not a series of independent projects balancing capacity, sequencing, and interdependencies across Core, Growth, and Launch verticals to maximize collective throughput and revenue impact. Provide the big-picture perspective and executive judgment needed to prioritize where the team invests, which partnerships and verticals get accelerated, and where to make deliberate trade-offs. Anticipate how the implementation model will need to evolve as partner volume and vertical complexity grow, and get ahead of constraints before they slow the business. Process Improvement & Scalable Operations Own the implementation operating model — the playbooks, tooling, stage gates, and governance that make partner activation faster, more predictable, and more scalable over time. Diagnose where current processes create friction, delay, or inconsistency, and lead structured improvement initiatives that measurably reduce time-to-activation and increase team capacity. Establish the metrics, reporting, and reviews that give leadership clear visibility into implementation health, activation pipeline, and partner launch performance. Codify what works into repeatable frameworks so the organization can absorb more partners without a proportional increase in effort or risk. Cross-Functional & Executive Leadership Serve as the senior voice for partner implementation across the company, partnering with Sales, Customer, Product, Engineering, and Insurance leaders to align roadmaps, priorities, and delivery commitments. Drive cross-functional accountability for partner launch timelines, activation readiness, and post-launch revenue performance. Represent implementation in executive-level discussions, connecting operational reality to strategic decisions on partnerships and resourcing expansion. Lead the go-to-market alignment between technical integration and launch readiness so partners are both fully integrated and commercially ready on day one. Provide executive implementation leadership for Launch Verticals: new partner categories and product opportunities entering the business. Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align technical delivery, product readiness, and implementation timelines for new market entries. Translate lessons from new-vertical launches into scalable processes that shorten the path to activation for every future partner in that category. Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing implementation organization. Set clear goals, coaching cadences, and career paths that raise the capability and consistency of the team as it scales. Establish a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and partner obsession across the function. Partner Relationship Leadership Serve as a senior, strategic point of contact for the company’s most important partners during implementation, ensuring transparency, trust, and strong executive relationships. Manage partner expectations on timelines, scope, and launch readiness, and identify opportunities to deepen partnerships and increase revenue performance over time. What Success Looks Like Partner activation runs as a predictable, scalable program. Launches are on time, on quality, and increasingly efficient as volume grows. Leadership has clear visibility and confidence in the implementation pipeline, backed by meaningful metrics and forward-looking capacity planning. Measurable improvements in time-to-activation and partner launch quality resulting from process improvements you drive. Cross-functional partners view implementation as a strategic, well-led function that accelerates the business rather than a bottleneck. Who You Are 10+ years of experience in implementation, partner integration, technical program management, professional services, or delivery leadership, including several years leading teams and leaders. Program management depth - a demonstrated track record of running complex, interdependent portfolios of work (not just individual projects), with the strategic perspective to connect execution to business outcomes. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management background is a strong plus. Proven ability to build and scale operating models, playbooks, and processes that measurably improved throughput, predictability, or time-to-activation. Experience leading cross-functional execution across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Operations, and comfortable operating at the executive level. Strong people leadership - you’ve hired, developed, and grown high-performing implementation or delivery teams. Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management, with the credibility to influence internal leaders and senior partner contacts alike. A builder’s mindset - comfortable setting strategy and vision while staying close enough to the work to coach the team and unblock complex launches. Experience That Goes the Extra Mile Experience in SaaS, fintech, insurtech, embedded finance, or API/platform integrations; embedded insurance experience is a strong plus. What We Offer The estimated base salary for this role is: $140,000 - $190,000 per year, in addition this role is eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Salary will be dependent on the level of experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
