Job Summary:
The Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty position is located at a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting with open heart cases, TAVR, open/endovascular procedures, and thoracic surgeries. The position requires a registered nurse with open heart and/or endovascular experience, working in a surgical setting with a focus on cardiac procedures. The schedule involves rotating shifts, with a standard workweek of 40 hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts with shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling approximately 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room or cardiac surgery; valid license to submit; experience with open heart or endovascular procedures; scrubbing experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic surgeries; familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
• Additional Information: Unit notes include a one-week hospital-specific orientation; self-scheduling and block scheduling are permitted; call response time is 30 minutes; team members may float within Zone 1 within the general OR as needed.
