Step into a rewarding occupational therapy opportunity serving students in an engaging school-based setting. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while working onsite within a supportive educational environment. The position begins as soon as possible and extends through June 2027, providing long-term stability and professional growth.
You’ll collaborate with school staff and caregivers to deliver occupational therapy services tailored to each student’s needs. Caseload details will be shared during the interview process, ensuring a fit that matches your expertise and interests.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid OT license (or eligibility) for Maine
- Previous experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and school-based therapy approaches
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized OT services to students onsite 2-3 days per week (14-21 hours)
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
