Job Description FOX 5 - WNYW offers a hands‑on 6‑month training program for college graduates seeking experience in television broadcasting. The program requires no prior broadcast experience and aims to equip trainees with the skills needed for an entry‑level broadcasting position upon completion. Program Details Departments: Newsroom (Good Day New York) Duration: 6 months (full‑time, 40 hours/week) Pay: $17.00 per hour (pay rate disclosed per state & local requirements) Hands‑on training with experienced broadcast professionals and exposure to studio production. Access to staff employment opportunities contingent upon availability and qualifications. Responsibilities Assist producers with all aspects of Good Day New York production. Research stories, locations, celebrities, politicians, and local newsmakers. Greet guests, escort them from the lobby to the green room and studio. Attend daily staff meetings and support producers with daily tasks such as logging footage and scripts. Coordinate video clips and live feeds from the Scando computer with Ingest. Qualifications College graduate. Working knowledge of television production and communications.
