Corewell Health West is seeking a Full Time BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to join their Northern Regional Hospitalist team. This position will float between Gerber Hospital, Big Rapids Hospital, and Ludington Hospital . You will enjoy working a true seven on-seven off schedule, Tuesday through Monday: all day shifts; and all shifts for that week on at one location. Procedures preferred but not required, vent management is required. Great virtual support from Grand Rapids Intensivist.
\n \nEssential Functions
\n- \n
- Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others. \n
- Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times. \n
- Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care. \n
- Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients. \n
- Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources. \n
- Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards. \n
- Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate. \n
- Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- License – Michigan MD/DO \n
- BE/BC Internal Medicine Residency or Family Medicine Residency (with demonstrated strong inpatient experience) \n
- Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) \n
- Certification - Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) \n
