Job Description
Position: Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments
We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits process. In this position, you will examine the medical histories of Veterans, which are securely uploaded to a digital portal, prior to administering both the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Review and interpret electronic medical records through a secure web portal.
- Accurately document examination results and complete the required VA forms.
Note: This position does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the Audiologist.
Schedule:- Part-Time: 3 days per week.
- Average caseload: 3-6 Veterans per day.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A compassionate Audiologist with a commitment to supporting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess medical records and evaluation data.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
- Professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.
- Doctorate degree from an ASHA Accredited Institution.
- Current Audiologist license.
- Health insurance and 401K benefits available.
- Training and ongoing support provided.
- Passionate about serving and supporting Veterans?
- Seeking a structured role without on-call shifts?
- Interested in performing focused medical assessments without treatment responsibilities?
