Summary The OR Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining anesthesia supplies, pharmacy requests, cleaning, and maintaining anesthesia equipment, making special orders. They will assist in setting up and/or assisting during intubation and/or extubation of surgical patients. The technician will provide direct patient care under the supervision of anesthesia personnel. Responsibilities Assists the Anesthesiologist or CRNA with invasive and non‑invasive monitoring devices, patient positioning, transport, sterile line placement, and fluid preparation. Assists with preinduction, induction, maintenance and extubation/transit of all phases of anesthesia, labeling specimens for laboratory transfer. Performs equipment quality control and troubleshooting, maintains 12‑point inspections, checks sterility, expiration dates, and packaging integrity; labels fluids/medications accurately and discards outdated or unlabeled supplies. Sets up anesthesia equipment and supplies, cleans daily with approved solutions, documents scope care, restocks cabinets, and returns unused items to designated locations. Required Some experience in OR/anesthesia is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Experience in inventory maintenance and pharmacy knowledge preferred. Certified Anesthesia Technician, CP preferred.
