Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Construction Project Manager to support the delivery of multiple construction projects on a hyperscale data center campus in Cartersville, GA. This role will assist in managing a variety of projects including site logistics, parking lot construction, utilities, traffic camera installations, flatwork, civil improvements, ground-up support buildings, and other campus infrastructure initiatives. Working closely with the Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and owners, the Assistant Project Manager will help ensure projects are executed safety, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while developing the skills needed to advance into a Project Manager role. Key Responsibilities — Assistant Construction Project Manager Support Project Managers in the planning, execution, and closeout of multiple construction projects across an active data center campus Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to support daily construction activities Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder coordination efforts Track procurement activities, material deliveries, and equipment schedules Assist with the management of RFIs, submittals, permits, and project documentation Monitor project progress and help identify potential schedule or budget impacts Conduct site walks to verify work progress, quality standards, and compliance with project requirements Support change order management and documentation Maintain accurate project records, reports, meeting minutes, and tracking logs Promote and support a strong safety culture consistent with hyperscale data center construction standards Collaborate with construction teams to proactively resolve field issues and coordination conflicts Qualifications — Assistant Construction Project Manager 2-5 years of construction experience in project engineering, project coordination, field engineering, assistant project management, or related roles Experience with commercial, industrial, civil, infrastructure, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects preferred Working knowledge of construction processes including site development, utilities, concrete, site logistics, and ground-up construction Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Microsoft Project Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow into larger project management responsibilities Preferred Qualifications — Assistant Construction Project Manager Experience supporting construction projects valued at $5 million or greater Exposure to data center, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or infrastructure construction projects OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Certification Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Understanding of RFI, submittal, change management, and document control processes Internship or prior experience with major general contractors, owners, or construction management firms Physical Requirements — Assistant Construction Project Manager Daily presence at active construction sites in Cartersville, GA (on-site position) Ability to walk, climb stairs, and traverse active construction sites for extended periods Ability to stand for prolonged periods during inspections, coordination activities, and field reviews Work in outdoor construction environments with exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and uneven terrain Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds Valid driver's license required What We Offer (Benefits & Compensation) Competitive salary: $100,000 - $125,000 Incentive-based performance bonus program 401(k) retirement plan with company match 100% employer-paid medical coverage Company computer and cell phone stipend Unlimited paid time off (PTO) Paid holidays Career development and mentorship from experienced project management leaders Clear advancement path to Project Manager and Senior Project Manager roles Opportunity to work on one of the largest hyperscale data center developments in the Southeast #HP #J-18808-Ljbffr
