Position Summary...Walmart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions through collaborative engineering teams. This role involves managing the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of services, APIs, and AI/ML components. About the team The Advertising Business Systems (ABS) team within Advertising Technology develops scalable platforms supporting Advertisers, Agencies, Partners, and internal stakeholders. The team focuses on Lead Generation, CRM, Onboarding, Business Management, Media Planning, Order Management, Billing, Insights, Generative AI, and Third Party Tools. ABS delivers intelligent solutions that enhance advertiser engagement and operational efficiency. By aligning technology with business goals, the team drives advertising revenue growth and expands platform capabilities beyond Walmart Connect. The team fosters innovation and builds trusted partnerships across Walmart's advertising ecosystem to support continuous advancement. What you'll do Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support. Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing. Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software intelligence and development velocity. Assist in solution design, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics. Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and ensure adherence to project timelines. Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll bring Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++. Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices. Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration. Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions. Skilled in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with platform and business objectives. Demonstrated technical leadership, collaboration, and mentorship within cross-functional engineering teams. Commitment to quality, performance monitoring, and proactive problem resolution throughout the software lifecycle. Salary The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Stock Minimum Qualifications Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
