(USA) Prepared Food Lead

Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members – giving them more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Be a Team Leader – supervise the team within all prepared foods departments, facilitate rotations through different fresh areas, manage members’ needs to deliver on the business plan, communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies and be an advocate for the member, associate and company. Be an Expert – maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance. Collaborate with associates and third parties – ensure the team has resources, share knowledge and train the team. Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, elevate associate engagement, utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality, adopt new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner – drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a neat, clean and safe work area, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and accurate audit and compliance standards, producing and displaying merchandise according to the layout plan, engaging with other departments and third‑party partners to ensure operational continuity. Be a Talent Ambassador – teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth for team members and source new talent internally and externally. Develop, communicate and implement processes and practices – meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and partners, analyzing information, monitoring progress and results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. Promote and support compliance – demonstrate the application of company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues, and use the Open Door Policy. Qualifications Minimum 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older. Will successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications Food Handler Certification (Food Safety). Compensation & Benefits The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. Premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on specific circumstances.
