About the Role As Juicebox's first Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team building products that thousands of recruiting teams rely on every day. You'll partner with product and design to deliver high-impact features while helping engineers grow and do their best work. This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical depth, and execution. You'll coach engineers, lead complex initiatives, and help shape our engineering culture while staying involved in architecture and key technical decisions. - Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through coaching, feedback, and career development.
- Own execution across complex initiatives, removing blockers and ensuring the team delivers high-quality work quickly.
- Partner with product, design, and company leadership to set priorities and align engineering efforts with business goals.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, technical direction, and key engineering decisions.
- Help scale the engineering organization through hiring, onboarding, and building a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing and developing software engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building and shipping production systems.
- A track record of leading complex technical initiatives while balancing people leadership, technical judgment, and execution.
- Strong communication skills and experience partnering across product, design, and business teams.
- A bias toward action and the ability to lead effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- You've helped scale an engineering organization or product through significant growth.
- You've built AI-powered products using LLMs or worked with search technologies such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- You've been an early engineer or engineering leader at a startup.
