ELEVATE Elementary and Middle School Teacher (Job ID: 7338) Position Type: Teacher (ELEVATE) Date Posted: 4/14/2026 Reports to: Campus Principal Salary: Strategic Compensation Plan $88,000 - $100,000 Base Salary Duty Days: 212 (187 + 25 ADSY days) FLSA Status: Exempt Position Purpose Deliver rigorous, standards‑based instruction to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth for all students, ensuring individual access to accelerated learning and preparation for global competitiveness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instructional Excellence Employ rigorous instructional strategies and project‑based learning to foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles. Utilize a variety of instructional media and techniques appropriate to student capabilities. Assessment and Data Assess student mastery using multiple tools: formative assessments, performance tasks, standardized tests, and observations. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, grades, and assessment data. Monitor and proctor standardized tests; manage test materials and data securely. Classroom and Behavior Management Establish and maintain effective classroom management and discipline strategies. Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and assigned duty stations. Create a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to academic success. Family and Community Engagement Initiate and maintain open communication with parents and families regarding academic and behavioral progress. Participate in school events, open houses, and parent‑teacher conferences. Interpret and promote the school's educational programs to the community. Professional Collaboration and Growth Collaborate with peers, serve on committees, and contribute to curriculum development. Attend district and campus professional development activities. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and demonstrate high standards of conduct and work ethic. Additional Responsibilities Supervise and evaluate aides, volunteers, and student teachers as applicable. Refer students for evaluation by district specialists when needed. Perform other duties as assigned, including supplemental assignments under special revenue or compensatory education funds. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Certification Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area required. Experience One year of certified teaching experience required. Experience working with diverse student populations preferred. Bilingual fluency beneficial in some settings. Skills and Abilities Effective communication skills (written and oral) across all levels of the organization. Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships internally and externally. Technological proficiency including keyboarding and use of video display terminals. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and use hands for fine manipulation. Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs. Must maintain emotional control under stress and work irregular hours as needed. Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 35 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close and distance vision. Work environment includes standard office and classroom settings with moderate noise levels.
