Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Neuro Stepdown RN - Night Shift!


Join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care in a Neuro Stepdown unit! We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to work the Night Shift (18:45 - 07:15) in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Details:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Unit Type: Neuro Stepdown
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 (Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks)
- Average Daily Census: Max of 24 patients in a specialized neurological and medical intermediate population.
- Orientation: 32 hours; includes an 8-hour computer class and two shifts on the unit.

Required Skills/Certifications:


- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Stepdown, PCU, or similar unit.
- EPIC experience required.
- Must have certifications in ACLS , BLS , and NIHSS .
- Solid experience in the following:
- Telemetry & cardiac monitoring
- Titration of medications including LEVO and insulin drips
- IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line management
- Care for ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy care
- Neurological assessments and management of various conditions (e.g., aneurysms, seizures, cerebrovascular accidents)

Professional Skills:


- Teamwork approach with all interactions
- Ability to adhere to strict call-off policies
- Strong communication skills

Special Procedures/Equipment:


- Familiarity with Isolation Precautions and Wound Care/Wound Vac management
- Competence in managing specific neurological patient needs
