Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for a temporary assignment to support a small, collaborative accounting team. This role will cover a leave of absence and may extend based on business needs. The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial operations and ensuring timely processing of transactions.
Key Responsibilities for an Accounts Payable Clerk:
- Perform daily cash postings (1–2 hours each morning)
- Process, code, and enter accounts payable invoices
- Route invoices for approvals and ensure proper documentation
- Manage weekly check runs , ACH, and wire payments
- Complete credit card reconciliations
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or some college coursework in Accounting or related field
