Nurse Educator

Nurse Educator, Central RegionThe Education Coordinator is responsible for all educational activities provided by the hospital. Educational programs are to be offered to all employees, patients, and the community and coordinated by the Education Office. The Education Coordinator will assist the department managers with patient education when needed and comply with hospital standards to perform job expectations.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and registered or eligible for registration as a Registered NurseMinimum of a bachelor's degree in a health related field preferredMinimum of five (5) years experience as a staff nurse with broad exposure to different areas of health care requiredPrevious hospital educational experience preferredAbility to organize programs and identify educational needs of employees, patients, and the communityAbility to support and implement administrative decisionsRequired to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) trainingWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation based on experienceShift differentialsProfessional developmentSupportive and experienced peersBenefits:Medical, dental, and visionPaid time off25% discount on all services at Penn Highlands Healthcare facilitiesEmployee assistance program (EAP)
